Week 8 (August 18-22)

ART in Green (6Y-8Y) / (9Y-12Y)

Art is a wonderful way for kids to explore the world around them. Whether it’s using clay to create beautiful artwork or painting a project with friends, art teaches children about the environment and how to take care of it. You will be guided through a variety of nature inspired and environmentally friendly activities that encourage creativity, learning and fun. This full-day camp includes breaks for snacks, lunch, games, and outdoor fun. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes to class. All supplies are included. Clay projects will be ready for pick up after the firing is complete.

Creative GLASS (9Y-14Y) Half Day

Join us at Studio One to explore your creativity in the fused layers of glass. Sketch ideas, plan designs and learn how to work with glass to create stunning artworks. This half-day camp includes breaks and short walks in our beautiful gardens. All supplies are included. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes to class. Glass projects will be ready for pick up after the firing is complete.

Cartoonist Camp (9Y-12Y)

Do you love aliens, monsters, comics, superhero movies, and graphic novels? Join us at Gallery@501 Art Studio to dive into the world of comic making! Learn how to create storyboards and tell your own visual stories, and by the end of the week, you’ll have your very own zines and comics. Take breaks outdoors (weather permitting) and discover amazing public art around the Community Centre. All supplies are included—just bring your imagination!
