Fall program registration begins at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19 for swimming programs, and Thursday, August 21 for all other programs.

Visual arts

Strathcona County offers visual arts programs and activities at Gallery@501 and Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre. Programs are open to everyone and include single classes or longer series taught by skilled and knowledgeable artists, makers and community educators.

Gallery@501 programs take place in a fully equipped art studio next to the main gallery exhibit space. Choose from painting, drawing, needle felting, printmaking and other exciting art forms!

Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre offers beginner-friendly classes in many fine craft forms such as pottery at the Clay Hut, glass fusing at Studio One, fibre arts, and more!

Indigenous Arts


Experience Indigenous arts through hands-on workshops led by Indigenous artists at Gallery@501. Learn resilient traditional and contemporary practices rooted in family-to-family stories. Open to all skill levels, these workshops foster creative expression, a deeper appreciation of Indigenous ways of knowing and respectful sharing across communities in Treaty Six Territory.
