Spring and summer camp programs are available for advance viewing starting March 4, 2025. Registration begins at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18 for swimming, and Thursday, March 20 for all other programs.

Week 7 (August 11-15)

ART Maker (6Y-8Y) / (9Y-12Y)


Join us for summer days filled with imagination and a healthy dose of creativity. Craft charming artworks at Smeltzer House, sketch in the gardens, and build marvelous creations at Clay Hut. Let’s try different mediums and bounce indoors to outdoors while making art together. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes to class. All supplies are included. Clay projects will be ready for pick up after the firing is complete.

SEW Creative (9Y-14Y) Half Day


All are welcome to try sewing their very own charming creations. From threading the needle to stitching the pattern, you will learn the basics of hand and machine sewn craft. We’ll have a blast making new friends while cutting, embellishing, and embroidering various fabrics. This half-day camp includes breaks for short walks outdoors. All supplies are included. Please wear closed-toe shoes to class.

Young Author and Artist Camp (9-12Y)


Join author Debby Waldman for a fun- filled camp all about folk tales, fairy tales and creating your own tales! Write an original an original folk tale, add a new character to a classic story, or put an exciting twist on an old favorite. Debby has written three picture books based on folk tales and she will help you hone your skills with fun writing games and activities to spark your creativity. The camp includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the Strathcona County Library. This program is presented by the Gallery@501 Art Studio and generously co-sponsored by the Strathcona County Library.
