Spring and summer camp programs are available for advance viewing starting March 4, 2025. Registration begins at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18 for swimming, and Thursday, March 20 for all other programs.

Week 6 (August 5-8)

Abstract ArtMakers Camp (9-12Y)


Love abstract art? This camp is for you! Join Gallery@501 Art Studio for a fun-filled week of creating your very own abstract art. Explore cool art techniques such as needle felting and painting experimenting with different materials, all while learning fun facts about famous Canadian artists including:Tania Garner Tomas and Robert Dmytruk as well as renowned Denesuline artist Alex Janvier and Dene artist Bruno Canadien. Take breaks outdoors (weather permitting) and discover amazing public art around the Community Centre. All supplies are included, so come ready to get creative and have a blast!

CLAY Artist (12Y-15Y) Half Day


Are you ready to try a new medium? Let's head to Clay Hut and start creating! We will learn about the properties and features of clay, experiment with form, texture, and shape, and explore basic hand building techniques. You don’t need any experience, just your own apron and hand towel. Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes to class. Pottery projects will be ready for pick up after the firing is complete.

Mini CLAY Days (6Y-12Y) Half Day


Pinch, roll, shape, REPEAT - the clay play days are on! Create a handful of exciting and unique miniature pots and sculptures that are just as unique as you are. This half-day camp includes breaks for games and outdoor fun. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes to class. All supplies are included. Pottery projects will be ready for pick up after the firing is complete.

Week 6 SEW Creative (9Y-14Y) Half Day


All are welcome to try sewing their very own charming creations. From threading the needle to stitching the pattern, you will learn the basics of hand and machine sewn craft. We’ll have a blast making new friends while cutting, embellishing, and embroidering various fabrics. This half-day camp includes breaks for short walks outdoors. All supplies are included. Please wear closed-toe shoes to class.
