Week 7 ART Maker (6Y-8Y) / (9Y-12Y)

Fill your summer days with imagination and a healthy dose of creativity. Make charming artworks at Smeltzer House, sketch in the gardens, and build marvelous creations at Clay Hut. Let’s try different mediums and bounce indoors to outdoors while making art together. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes to class. All supplies are included. Clay projects will be ready for pick up after the firing is complete.

Week 7 Yarn Party (9Y-14Y) Half Day

Explore colour, texture, and technique in this hands-on camp for craft lovers. Discover the joy of working with fibre as you create vibrant garlands, adorable yarn creatures, and intricate weaving projects. This half-day camp includes breaks for short walks outdoors. All supplies are included. Please wear closed-toe shoes to class.

Week 7 Young Author and Artist Camp (7Y-11Y)

Step into a world of sweet stories and colorful creativity! Campers will explore storytelling, drawing, and imaginative expression alongside author Paola Santos and illustrator Chelsea Wong. Originally from Venezuela, Paola Santos is a children’s book author who brings curiosity and emotional wonder to her stories, inspiring young writers to share their own voices. Chelsea Wong, a local Edmonton illustrator, specializes in playful, stylized digital illustration for editorial and public art projects enjoyed by all ages. The camp includes all supplies and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Strathcona Library. This program is presented by Gallery@501 Art Studio and is graciously co-sponsored by Strathcona County Library.
