Ranked as one of the best pottery studios in the province, the Clay Hut has been home to Strathcona County's iconic pottery program since 1978. Our programs are designed to introduce students to various techniques and methods of working with clay, or hone their existing skills.

Spend your mornings at the Clay Hut studio, learning traditional hand-building techniques. Learn to pinch, coil, and roll clay for crafting stunning handmade pottery pieces, which you can decorate with glaze in the final session. After each class, enjoy tea, coffee, treats, and delightful conversations with your fellow attendees at Smeltzer House. All supplies are included.
