Little ones will learn about butterflies, the process of how caterpillars transform into butterflies, have a chance to learn all about butterflies through a story, games and a craft to take home.

I Spy using my Eyes - Parented (3Y -7Y)


Enjoy special time with your children as they explore the "sense of sight" in the forest, go on a scavenger hunt and make a kaleidoscope to take home.

I'm a Bug? - Parented (3Y-7Y)


Enjoy special time with your children as they learn about the insect world and participate in a hunt for bugs.

Interpretive Wilderness Hike (5Y+)


Join one of our interpreters for an enjoyable wander through the woods and learn about trees, shrubs, and other interesting plants native to the boreal forest in the Beaver Hills Biosphere.

Peek-In-A-Pond - Parented (3Y-7Y)


Get up close and peek in the ponds in this interactive adventure that introduces young explorers to the wonders of wetlands. Through engaging activities and age-appropriate exhibits, children embark on a playful journey to discover the fascinating creatures and vibrant ecosystems thriving in these watery habitats.

Rocks are Special- Parented (3Y-7Y)


What is so special about rocks. What's their story? How old are rocks? Can they make friends? Listen to a fantastic story called “Trudy's Healing Stone", an engaging First Nation story that teaches children that it is okay to have feelings and that a special rock can help. Create a special rock pet to help us!

The Listening Walk - Parented (3Y -7Y)


Enjoy special time with your children as they explore the "sense of hearing" in the forest, learn sounds birds and animals make and whether they have special ears and then make a bird caller to take home.

Track Attack Dryland Training (14Y+)


Track AttackThis once a week program is for youth who are keen on improving their skiing (classic & skating) and fitness. The program will continue in the development of overall fitness and ski specific skills while training in a dynamic team environment. This program for all young skiiers to develop their technical skills while training in a fun, supportive and positive environment.

Wild Critters (3Y-5Y) Half-Day


Wild Critters half-daywill give participants an opportunity to explore and engage freely with the natural world. Participants will spend time, climbing over logs, tree roots and playing on uneven ground, while learning to assess risk and encourage to foster a lasting relationship with the natural world. Join us for supervised, unstructured play! We assure you that the critters will have 100% guaranteed play time in the wild!

Wild Critters will give participants an opportunity to explore and engage freely with the natural world.
