Advanced Instructor Certifications (16hr)

Advanced Instructor Certifications are courses that will require candidates to have their Swim and Lifesaving Instructor certifications, and in some cases- experience beforehand. For some courses applications to the facility, or affiliate may be necessary to ensure prerequistes are met. These will be noted.

Swim Instructor Practicum Experience

This course is for those who have successfully completed their Swim Instructor certification, and would like to get some hands-on experience in the pool. Registrants will be paired with an aquatic instructor and complete a teaching shift with them for the session. Their mentor instructors will help put knowledge and skills from the swim instructor course into an actual swimming lesson. This is a great opportunity for those looking to become employed as a swim instructor- you get some practice and get to know our team too! You can register and complete a Swim Instructor practicum more than once. Registrants will sign up for their ideal session(s) of summer and time of day. Following registration you will be contacted via email to confirm your session selection. Please ensure that your email address on account is accurate when registering.
