Adapted Basics


This class is for participants aged 5Y+ with specialized needs requiring additional support to develop their introductory swim skills. Increase your comfort and confidence in the water as you build floating, gliding, kicking, and front swim abilities. This is a 2 on 1 group class giving participants more attention and assistance.

Adapted Sensory


This class is offered for participants aged 5Y+ with complex needs that require dedicated instructor attention, and adaptation to meet their aquatic goals. This program is 1 on 1 instruction for those whose needs prevent them from joining classes with other participants. Swimmers should be recommended for this program by a Programmer, or instructor. To discuss if unsure you can email swimming@strathcona.ca.

Adapted Strokes


This class is for those with specialized needs looking to improve endurance and increase swimming skills, distance, and efficiency. This course is a 3 on 1 lesson and takes place in the 25m Lap Pool. Participants should be able to swim at least 15m-25m fairly independently, and/or working on skills in Swimmer 4+.
