Join us for summer days filled with imagination and a healthy dose of creativity. Paint, craft and make charming artworks at Smeltzer House, draw and sketch in the gardens, and build marvelous clay creations at Clay Hut. Let’s bounce from medium to medium, from studio to studio, from indoors to outdoors to create, experiment and make art together. This full-day camp includes breaks for snacks, lunch, games, and outdoor fun. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting messy and wear closed-toe shoes to class. All supplies are included. Clay projects will be ready for pick up after the firing is complete.
Join us at Studio One to explore your creativity in the fused layers of glass. Sketch ideas, plan designs and learn how to work with glass to create stunning artworks. Calling all budding artists and authors! Join author Rita Feutl for a fun, lively and inspiring week of camp. Known for writing stories full of adventure and action, Rita will give you the inside scoop on how to invent strong characters, develop an exciting plot and create interesting settings. She’ll share some of the tricks and secrets of publishing fiction so you can move your writing to the next level. Gallery@501 instructors will complement what you learn with creative and engaging art projects. Includes all supplies and a behind-the-scenes tour at the Strathcona Library.
