Whether you’re discovering the joy of running or simply looking to join a like-minded group, this program is led by a seasoned coach who will help improve your confidence and stride! Note: This program is held outdoors at Glen Allan Rec Complex.
This falls prevention program uses the pool to benefit anyone looking to improve their balance. A Registered Occupational Therapist will lead the class and begin with a 10 minute on-deck session on a specific component of balance followed by a 50 minute in-pool training session using a variety of equipment including the aqua mats.
This class emphasizes overall health and fitness through the development of controlled movements and sequences to promote the circulation of Chi energy and foster physical and mental well being. Each session will consist of a warmup, practice of basic movements, and training adjusted to level and progression.
Do you want to train like an athlete, ride like a racer and find your inner competitor? Jump on a bike and ride to the driving beats that will improve your cardio endurance and muscular strength. This low impact/high intensity workout designed for multi levels of fitness, will leave you drenched in sweat, yet inspired to come back for more!
Looking to effectively train every part of your body? Ride the bike and get ripped in one workout – intervals of cycling and off the bike exercises will help you get the most out of your workout. Feel free to wear cycle shoes or sneakers for the ride portion of the class, but sneakers are required for the strength portion off the bike.
